(Can you imagine Beavis and Butt-Head watching TikTok?) That didn’t leave a lot of time for jokes about what Beavis and Butt-Head might think of life in the 2020s. The movie was mostly a chase film, with various people from NASA and the government looking for Beavis and Butt-Head. The two actually wound up going into outer space, and then through a black hole, at which point they were deposited in the year 2022. A year before its current iteration was announced, Judge let slip that Paramount was interested in commissioning a live-action film based on the titular characters.The recent Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe movie on Paramount+ didn’t just feature the ’90s favorite teenage doofuses in one of their typical (and stupid) adventures. That, like the new season of the series, premiered exclusively on the Paramount+ streaming service.īeavis And Butt-Head originally ran for seven seasons between 19, with the first cinematic adaptation (Beavis And Butt-Head Do America) arriving in 1996. The second revival of Beavis And Butt-Head was confirmed in 2020, and kicked off in June with the release of the feature film Beavis And Butt-Head Do The Universe. This continued with Beavis And Butt-Head’s first reboot in 2011 (when it moved from MTV to Comedy Central, and ran for a single 22-episode season), during which the pair offered commentary on videos for songs by the likes of Skrillex, Katy Perry, MGMT and the Plain White Ts. They tended to react positively to videos with violent or thematically intense content, and gravitated towards rock bands like the Butthole Surfers and Metallica.
